This week, we talked to Lore on Twitter Spaces, diving into how they are revolutionizing onchain investing, their integration with Tapestry, and the future of decentralized funds.
What is Lore?
Lore is a platform designed to simplify onchain fund management. Initially focused on small, trusted groups pooling funds for collective investing, Lore has evolved into a full-fledged discovery and investment network. Users can now not only start and manage onchain funds but also discover and request to join private funds led by knowledgeable investors.
The core concept behind Lore is simple: many of us know (or are) that one friend who excels at trading. Lore enables these individuals to pool capital from their communities and manage it efficiently—just like a traditional fund, but with the speed, transparency, and efficiency of blockchain technology.
Lore’s Initial Build
Tomas, Lore’s founder, started out as a quant trader at Citadel, working with derivatives and structured financial products before discovering blockchain technology. Tomas noticed that while social conversations about trading were happening on platforms like Twitter and Discord, they weren’t directly integrated into financial applications. This led to the creation of Lore—a platform designed to merge social investing with onchain fund management, making collective investing more accessible and efficient.
How Lore Uses Tapestry
Lore is leveraging Tapestry’s tooling to streamline user onboarding and enhance social connectivity through:
Seamless Profile Creation: Lore auto-fills usernames (profiles) using Tapestry, pulling data from public name spaces like Solana Name Service (SNS) and open protocols like Farcaster. This eliminates the need for users to manually create profiles, making the onboarding process smoother.
Bridging to Solana: Lore is actively moving to Solana and leveraging Tapestry to bridge users from Base to the Solana ecosystem. With over 100,000 Farcaster users already connected to both Ethereum and Solana wallets, this integration makes it easier for users to transition seamlessly and engage with onchain investing on Solana.
Building Social Reputation: One of the biggest challenges in crypto is establishing trust. With Tapestry, Lore can aggregate social signals and wallet histories, helping fund managers verify potential investors and vice versa. This creates a safer, more transparent investing environment.
$SSE as a Funding Source
Lore also shared that users can now fund their onchain investment funds with Solana and $SSE (Solana Social Explorer token). This adds another layer of utility to $SSE within the Solana ecosystem and makes it a key asset for social-driven investing.
Looking Ahead
As we move toward blending social connectivity with financial tools, both platforms are focused on making onchain investing more intuitive and trustworthy.
